The RGB colour model
The
main purpose of the RGB colour model is for the sensing, representation, and
display of images in electronic systems, such as televisions and computers, as
well as it has been used in conventional photography. Before the electronic
age, the RGB colour model based in human perception of colours. Visible
wavelength for humans ranges from about 380 to 700 nm. In the RGB model, each colour appears in its primary spectral components
of red, green and blue. The human eye sees through the colour-sensitive cells,
cones, especially in red, green and blue. When mixing these primary colours,
the brain sees eight million colours. Green colour component is the least noisy
of RGB components.
